IAQA Fall Workshop Hosted By Particles Plus®

Enhancing IAQ Investigations with Handheld Particle Counters
One Day Workshop:
September 16, 2025
Stoughton, MA
(20 miles outside of Boston)

Join us for this hands-on training workshop
focused on the effective deployment of handheld particle counters in IAQ investigations.
Participants will learn how to conduct air contamination source investigations using real-time detection instruments:
- Interpreting real time monitoring data and graphs. Attendees will learn how to interpret data, when to be suspicious of data, and how to be confident the machine is working properly.
- Instructors will present cases where they used counters, including how they presented their findings to their clients and how they answered client questions. Instructors will also discuss when particle counters are NOT the answer to an investigation.
- There will be a practical portion of the course where attendees will handle devices and conduct mock investigations in and around the Particles Plus®. This will teach participants how to establish environmental baselines, source identification strategies, practical troubleshooting tips, avoiding contaminating your own counters, and other aspects of using handheld particle counters in investigations.
While the course showcases Particles Plus® equipment, it emphasizes transferable skills and methodologies applicable throughout the IAQ monitoring industry.
